Sometimes life just walks up and slaps you in the head with an idea. Other times it takes a while to come around to where you want it to be. Stuffed is something that’s been on the burn in my head for a good long while, but I needed to reach a certain point in my life before it was really ready. That something was the birth of my second son. I have no idea why, but suddenly it became very important to me as a creator to make something my kids could read and enjoy even at their tender ages. Harold has kids near the same ages as mine and he immediately not only understood the reasoning but the execution. We have always worked well together, but when we’re both hitting on all cylinders we’re damn hard to beat!
Stuffed is about a young boy named Kevin who has the power to bring stuffed animals, and to a lesser extent all toys, to life. The more stuffing a given toy has, the more intelligent and free acting the toy will be. His favorite toy, a red panda bear named Dare takes Kevin on all manner of adventures, spanning genre and time as they spend their hours having fun.
